Wild With Who?

Wild With Purpose (#wildwithpurpose) was founded in 2017 as a project designed to push the limits on purposeful and powerful adventures capable of fuelling social and environmental awareness.

2017 – Douro SUP Expedition

A 350 km stand up paddle expedition along the famous Douro River (the region of the Porto wine).

Purpose: to promote the Douro valley and the great cultural, natural and touristic value that it represents, but also to promote the practice of sustainable tourism and the contact with nature, taking advantage of what the river has to give.

2019 – Portugal Coast to Coast

1250 km cycling the entire Portuguese Coast, from the very Northwest to the very Southeast, all done in a common cheap heavy bicycle, in the winter, against all weather bad moods… storms, heavy winds and freezing cold.

Purpose: promote the use of bicycles and cut away the excuses – any bicycle is enough, any weather is bearable and any short distance is doable… from home to work, from home to school, from home to shopping, from home to leisure. Choose the bike first.

2022 - Croatia Unplugged Expedition

With the purpose of promoting renewable energies, this adventure will have the landscapes of Croatia as the main backdrop, a country known for the spectacularity of its coast, with hundreds of isolated islands and beautiful inlets.

The expedition will take me on a stand up paddle/winging journey from Umag, in the northern tip of the country, till the south of Dubrovnik, in the south – over 1000 km in total. The wing mode will be On whenever the intensity and orientation of the wind makes it doable (wind energy). But in addition, the board will be equipped with a solar panel, coupled to a waterproof case with a battery. The battery will be used to charge the drone batteries, a gopro, a tracker and a high end mobile phone. This setup will allow the 35 to 40 days of planned expedition to be completed without a single connection to an outlet (UNPLUGGED).

Sustainability

Sustainability is the basis for continuity, progress and survival. Without it we will end up depleting our resources and damaging the world irreversibly. This is the good fight.

To go further and beyond, facing the elements of fear, pain and adversity. To believe in yourself, overtake your limitations and get back stronger, wiser and more resilient.

Nature

Nature is the office, the playground, the training park, the energy booster and the reason for Wild With Purpose’s existence. This is where all the magic happens.

Go away, discover, collect the memories and come back to tell the story. Photographing, filming, writing, speaking, delivering the message the best way possible.
